We took our annual trip to the Topsfield fair and had a blast.
The drive there is plenty long, so I always look forward to getting some knitting done on the journey (I know I'm in good company with this tradition :-)
And the fair wouldn't be the fair without visiting the giant pumpkin winner...And of course, eating cotton candy...
Steve & I both went to high school in that area, so we usually end up having mini reunions while we're there. This year, I bumped into an old friend that I hadn't seen since 8th grade-- 24 years ago! We both looked at each other, instantly recognized the other's face, and said at the same time, "you look exactly the same!" (Okay, well minus the 80's hair;-) Such a fun time, and Giselle, it was just lovely to run into you and meet your beautiful family! And Happy Thanksgiving to my family & friends to the north!!!

How fabulous !~! Meeting a friend from eighth grade-lucky you. Seeing that crochet corner inspires me to go find the hook and put out a few snug caps for the Littles we look after during the week. Winter approaches and here that means cool and rainy; head coverings needed most days.
ReplyDeleteHi Lynda! It was so much fun running into her:-) And your little friends are lucky to have you to make cozy caps for them!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like your family enjoyed a lovely time at the fair Michelle! It just isn't fall without going to the fair : )
ReplyDeleteI didn't know the Mounties performed in the US. I'm all agog at that.
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you for the Thanksgiving wishes!
Hi Amber! There are soooo many Acadians that live in this area, and we all seem to be at the Mounty show at the same time-- we're the ones who sing both National Anthems:-) The Mounties are incredible, we watch them in awe every year!
